Overview
The Green Vision Education Program recognizes schools that practice pollution prevention, recycling, energy efficiency and waste reduction.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Elementary School received their initial Green Vision Award in 2009. This school also has a Spanish Immersion Program that offers an educational opportunity that prepares children for the future because of their increased global perspective. Students are provided the opportunity to master a second language in a vibrant and comprehensive academic environment by making it an integral part of their learning development.
The Green Vision Education program is administered through the The Solid Waste Education Office, a partnership between DMASWA, Loras College, and the Dubuque Environmental Task Force. http://www.dmaswa.org/services_education.cfm
