The Giba Gorge Nature Reserve is 72ha in extent and comprises predominantly scarp forest and grasslands.
There are a number of scenic walks through the reserve.

Facilities: Self-guided trails (Although there are currently no facilities available at the reserve, visitors often start walking from Giba Gorge
Mountain Bike Park; which offers secure parking; a restaurant and ablution facilities (see No. 15))

Driving Directions: Travel on the M13west from Durban to Hillcrest. Take the Hillcrest / Old Main Road off-ramp and turn right towards Hillcrest. After crossing the bridge over the M13, turn immediately left into St Helier Road. Travel on St Helier Road, keeping left under the bridge of the M13. Approximately 800m from the bridge turn left onto a gravel road, which provides entrance to the reserve.
Park anywhere alongside this road.
Travel time (from central Durban): 45 minutes
