原為空軍子弟學校，創校於民國三十七年，隸屬於空軍總司令部，當年由徐州隨政府播遷來台，借用屏東市仁愛國小校舍
民國四十二年於現址建校
民國四十三年五月竣工遷入本校校址
民國五十六年改隸屬於屏東縣政府
為紀念林鶴聲烈士豐功偉業，易名為屏東縣鶴聲國民學校
民國五十七年八月易名為屏東縣鶴聲國民小學
