中山公園
Übersicht
創立於民國四年(西元一九一五年)，面積兩萬三千七百十五坪，位於屏東市中心。日據時代，中山公園稱為屏東公園，內有南國氣氛的熱帶樹、涼亭水榭、九重葛花棚、兒童遊樂場、田徑場、體育館等，是一個兼具休閒、觀光、運動的多功能場所，聞名南台灣。
當時在屏東公園內，還有原住民的建築「蕃屋」，所有建材都是從山上運下來搭蓋，除了介紹原住民的生活風俗習慣外，也是原住民下山時的住所。
屏東公園在台灣光復後改稱中山公園，園區內有多項紀念碑，包括光復紀念碑、二二八事件紀念碑等，富有歷史教育意義。民國四十一年第七屆省運動會及民國八十五年區運會，都曾在中山公園舉行，現在園區內還留有省運紀念碑及區運紀念碑。
