Overview
Community Forklift is a nonprofit organization that collects and accepts used building materials, furniture, and appliances in the DC metropolitan area. By doing so, they are able to refurbish and then resell the material at cheaper costs. Not only does this reduce waste, but it also provides home improvement materials to lower income communities. In addition, Community Forklift also offers education about resuse and even distributes free materials to nonprofit organizations. Instead of buying new materials, furniture, or appliances, a great environmentally friendly and affordable option is Community Forklift!
