Overview
28 Seventh Avenue
Queen Anne Style
This 2 1/2 story Victorian cottage was named "Maple Law" when built in the late 1800s. The view is extensive from 1,500 square feet of wraparound porches, rounded on two corners, with extensive balustrades and turned columns. At one corner, a four-story round turret tower is surrounded by acanthus leaves and carries a conical roof. Offset from another corner is a one story octagonal room with pointed roof and windows all around. The main roof has varied gables and dormer windows. Major restoration was done in the 1900s, including painting in blue-gray which is believed to be the color of the original house. Original details inside include a floor intricately inlaid with four pattern pine and walnut.
