Overview
Oilfields Regional Arena Ice, Roller/Inline and Curling Rink was founded in 1986, Oilfields Regional Arena of Black Diamond, AB is an indoor rink and open year round.
Home to the Foothills Figure Skating Club, High Country Minor Hockey and various adult teams, the Oilfields Arena includes:
• a covered ice rink • indoor tennis courts (summer)
• 4 dressing rooms with showers • indoor lacrosse field (summer)
• lobby • inline hockey (summer)
• concession • kitchen
Yearly Schedule:
• ice is in place from September to March
• public skating is offered on Sundays, October to February
• pad time is available from April to August
• ice and pad time is supplied on a first-come first-serve basis
Public Skating
Roller skating sessions for the public are one of the main attractions at Oilfields Regional Arena. Skating provides great exercise and an opportunity to get out of the house - plus, it's not like exercising at the gym... skating is fun! Lace-em up and come join the others. Get on the floor and get ready for a great experience.
Oilfields Regional Arena offers Figure Skating, Ice & Roller Skating Lessons.
Are you an adult looking to learn to skate? Do you have children yearning to skate like the pros? If so, the folks here love to teach and their instructors are top notch. For beginners they usually focus on providing the basics. For more advanced skaters they focus on proper form, technique and getting you ready to meet your goals.
Ice Hockey
They offer both Adult and Youth Ice Hockey programs and leagues. Whether you are a beginning skater looking to play on a team in an instructional league or an experienced ice hockey player looking to get out and play with others of a similar caliber, Oilfields Regional Arena is the place to play. The experienced group will help get you ready for your next game.
Pickup Hockey
Looking for a casual game? Oilfields Regional Arena also offers both adult and youth pickup hockey.
Hockey Clinics
On occasion they offer Ice & Roller Hockey Clinics
Curling
Curling is a team sport that is offered at Oilfields Regional Arena. Their ice is carefully prepared and ready for the next bonspiel competition. If you are interested in giving it a try, please give them a call.
Birthday Party or Event Planning?
Why not have your party or event at Oilfields Regional Arena? They can make their rink and other facilities available to you for birthday parties, holiday parties or corporate events. Their prices are great. They'd love to have you out. Please call at least one week in advance to properly schedule your event.
