Overview
Goodwill is a non-profit organization. Goodwill's mission promotes equity by working to "enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work." In addition, this company has a program called the Goodwill Sustainability Program. It is built on Goodwill’s value of environmental stewardship and designed to support the Goodwill network grow their internal sustainability programs. You can also donate items or shop second-hand, keeping used items out of the waste stream and reducing production of new goods. Goodwill uses the funds from items sold to support local jobs and shelters, food banks, and other efforts devoted to supporting the community.
