台南市肉品市場 Tainan City Meat Market

概览

肉品市場前身為日據時代之台南市家畜市場，原址位於台南市逢甲路（今西門路），辦理毛豬交易業務，因場地狹小，設備簡陋，交通不便，環境衛生不良，於民國62年向台糖洽購現址，68年合併新型屠宰場成立全省第一處肉品市場。因場地鄰近嘉南大圳之安順大排，為防止污染河川，內部設污水處理場，將污水淨化後再排入大排。

Tainan City Meat Market used to be Tainan City Livestock Market in Japanese colonial era. It was located on Ximen road. Mainly processed pig livestock. However, the old site was narrow and small. The hardware was crude; transportation was inconvenient; environmental health was poor. Therefore, the market was moved to the current location in 1973. Combining with the new slaughter house, the very first Meat Market was established in 1979. This market is located next to the Chia-Nan canal. Therefore, a sewage treatment plant was built to prevent water contamination.
