San Simon Community Garden
![Jardins partagés: Often planted on public or formerly abandoned land, community gardens are run by volunteers who cultivate vegetables or flowers and closer relationships to nature and one another. Generally open to all participants, they are sometimes fenced, locked or threatened by development. May offer hands-on learning and a habitat for birds and insects. Vue d'ensemble
This garden, established 5 years ago, was built on desolate land. Seven surrouding homes provide water for the garden. The garden is home to a range of flora. Every wednesday there are regular activities for the local residents and children in the garden, including planting and workshops.
