Līdz 20 metrus augstas, ap 300 metrus platas iesārta smilšakmens klintis Salacas krastā. Uz klintīm aug smilšu neļķes, no kurām tās ieguvušas savu nosaukumu.
Salacas kreisā krastā 2 kilometrus lejpus Mazsalacas vidusskolai.
Up to 20 metres high, approximately 300 metres wide pinkish sandstone cliffs at Salaca River. Fragrant sand pinks growing on cliffs, thus cliffs got their name (neļķe - carnation. pink).
Left bank of Salaca 2 kilometres below the Mazsalaca school (former palace).
