First Unitarian Church of Cleveland
Vue d'ensemble
First Unitarian Church and its members are in the process of becoming accredited as a "Green Sanctuary," a Unitarian Universalist process of accomplishing a variety of activities involving sustainable practices, religious education, worship and celebration and environmental justice. We are finding a variety of ways to reduce our impact on the environment and to reach out to those who are victims of environmental justice. We have a community garden, a solar array, which includes an electric car charging station, a recycling program, a comprehensive plan for recreating the grounds based on permaculture principles, and are working with the Blaine Community Garden in Hough to support their garden and educational efforts.
