DESCRIPTION: ‘Change places, change lives’
The organization is community based, all residents can get involved.
Groundwork is currently enrolled in projects such as: cleaning the river in the area and teaching 10th graders Environmental Science twice a week (which they have a three year grant for).
They have also developed an elementary school curriculum and have improved the school’s garden. This project has been sustained by the students.
They also hold seminars before and after the projects begin in order to train and teach students and volunteers about the purpose and idea of each project.
Groundwork focuses on improving urban, natural or restored environments.
They have recently made a green project where you would buy a $10 umbrella with a green message on it and later they would gain $4 profit.
