Langston Hughes Library & Community Center features exhibits of works in a variety of media by emerging and established artists.
Special Collections at the Langston Hughes branch include Black Heritage Reference Center, Schomburg Clipping File, Microfilm Collections, Diaspora Theses, Amistad Research Center, Adele Cohen Music, and Langston Hughes Art.
The Langston Hughes Library has 21 public computers, located on the circulating floor (10 1-hour, 3 30-minute and 1 online catalog), the Children’s Room (4), Teen Center (1) and Black Heritage Research Room (2). These computers include free Internet access, Microsoft Office software and limited free printing.
Langston Hughes Library’s Black Heritage Research Room also provides 1 CD-ROM station and1 Microfiche/Microfilm station for public use.
The Out-Of-School Time Homework Assistance Program provides 12 computer terminals for use by students in that program. Please contact the library for more details.
Hours: Mon. 1pm - 8pm, Tue. 1pm - 6pm, Wed. 10am - 6pm, Thu. 1pm - 8pm, Fri. 10am - 6pm, Sat. 10am - 5:30pm, Sun. Closed.
