Kerkering, Barberio & Co., Certified Public Accountants, provides a variety of tax, audit and accounting services to businesses and individuals. For the last two consecutive years, it has been named one of the best places to work by Tampa Bay Business Journal. The company implemented a comprehensive recycling program throughout its 30,000 square-foot office and worked with its property management company to increase the facility’s energy efficiency.
Kerkering, barberio & Co became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 2008. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County.
