West Houston & Broadway
New York
"The Wall" - Forrest Myers
Vue d'ensemble
?On West Houston Street, before you cross into Soho the bright blue façade of this building is hard to miss. Located at the corner of Broadway, a series of sea green iron supports jut out at each floor level creating an interesting graphic against the field of blue...There is a plaque from the Soho-Cast Iron Historic District at the base of the building. The work is called “The Wall (a.k.a. The Gateway to Soho)” by sculptor Forrest Myers, and it debuted in 1973 (then was removed in 2002 due to building owner-related issues and reinstalled in 2007)." -- ArtsObserver
