German Valley Historic District
Overview
The earliest important settlement in the township was known as German Valley until World War I when the name was changed to Long Valley. The village portion of this valley is on the State of New Jersey and the National Registers of Historic Places. Properties located within the designated historic district are required to meet with the Township's Historic Preservation Commission prior to commencing work that might change the exterior of any buildings or the streetscape.
