Situated on seven acres, Jackson Primary opened in the fall of 2007 as a remarkable renovation of the Tuxedo Park School, which had served generations of Atlantans since 1956. With impressive state-of-art and aesthetic upgrades throughout, the campus accommodates nearly 320 children attending kindergarten and 1st grade. There are 17 active classrooms, each one outfitted with computers that use the Linux Operating System. Other areas include a multi-purpose room, professional stage, art room, music room, media center/library, facility space for speech, ESOL and other special needs students, and a spacious cafeteria.
renovations of Jackson Primary includes the construction of additional classrooms, aesthetic upgrades and other building enhancements which are scheduled for completion by fall of 2009.
