Overview
Aim: To protect and preserve South Africa's coastal birds, especially threatened species, for the benefit of present and future generations. SANCCOB meets their mission by supporting coastal bird research programmes and disseminating information; raising public awareness through education and raising funds to support and sustain this mission effectively.
Services offered: SANCCOB rescues, rehabilitates and releases ill, injured, oiled and orphaned sea birds. It also runs training courses for volunteers. Our centre also offers lectures for school children (booking essential) and opportunities for local and foreign volunteers. SANCCOB aims to build a new, tourist-friendly sea bird rehabilitation centre within the next three years
