Riverside Community Garden

Overview

Riverside Community Garden has been running since Oct 26 2004. It opens two days a week and supports around 150 volunteers a year fulfilling over 5000 hours of volunteer time.
The volunteers come from all walks of life across Cardiff and it has become a fun friendly place to come and learn how to grow, share in the produce, learn to cook outside and be involved in various building activities and outside projects.

We have been involved in Cardiff Hops since March 2013 growing 3 Prima Donna hops (1 lost to WJEC weed killer). We have moved 2 Prima Donna hops to go around our archway entrance into the garden and have also planted 6 Fuggles rhizomes along a boundary fence and shortly some Cascade rhizomes to support the project.
