Overview
Déjà en 1564, on parlait de la "fruitière". L'origine de ce nom vient du mot latin "fructus", qui signifie le fruit, au sens de résultat du travail et qualité du produit. C'est l'endroit où l'on transforme le lait en fromage, où l'on récolte le fruit du lait. La Fruitière d'Arbusigny est une coopérative où les producteurs fermiers apportent leurs deux traites quotidiennes, matin et soir, afin de fabriquer le fleuron des fromages haut-savoyards : le Reblochon.
