La Vida Local
Overview
At La Vida Local, we serve to support local economy, ecology, and artistry. One of many ways we do this is to help connect farmer/producer to consumer. We inquire about the quality standards of our producers, seeking out those who prepare their products from local sources. In addition, we coordinate events such as our Michigan Thanksgiving, one-time Farmers' Markets, and large distribution areas for delivery/pick-up from farmers in the area, such as chickens, strawberries, etc. Most pick-ups are at our Clarkston home.
Hours of Operation / Other Details:
No membership fees. Occasional bulk food is ordered a few times a year, such as fresh, local chickens or produce, for immediate, scheduled pick-up only. No food is stored on-site. Free consulting is offered to help you find sources for local food at fioranij@mac.com. You can also find lots of information on our Facebook group which is called "La Vida Local". Search for us and join!
