Overview
Fairly large green area in between Cardiff Road and a row of semi-detached houses. It has a few trees but room for more trees I think. It doesn’t ever seem to be in use as playing area but I think the design should incorporate opportunities for children’s play - not talking equipment here but things that can incorporated into the planting designing. I think it would be a good site for fruit trees, hazelnuts or a couple of the larger nut trees e.g. sweet chestnut. Notably there is a running brook on one side, so any planting would need to be sensitive to the eco value of this – potential also to get some watercress happening.
