They communicate their environmental commitment to employees and encourage employees to suggest new conservation ideas and programs.
SSBRM is not only making a difference in Sarasota County. At their records management facility in Clearwater Florida, they have installed a 100 kW solar array. The more than 400 PV panels demonstrate the corporate-wide commitment to reducing their environmental impacts. Additionally, SSBRM shredded and recycled 6.9 million pounds of paper companywide in 2013.
Stevens & Stevens Business Records Management became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 2014. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County.
