Overview

Zavos Architecture+Design is proud to be on the forefront of “green” design in the Frederick and Gettysburg areas. They work to translate an earth-friendly outlook from their every day practices within the office, to the sustainable design ideas and solutions they offer their clients. In considering their personal impact on the environment, ZA+D has implemented many changes to the way their offices functions, including using reusable dishes and silverware, earth-friendly cleaning products, and CFLs, and purchasing only recycled paper products from printer paper to paper towels. When it comes to design, all team members are currently working towards or have received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation, which provides them with the knowledge necessary to educate clients and help them incorporate sustainable materials and technologies into their buildings. It is with this spirit that we here at ZA+D strive to create a positive change in our community, leading by example.
