Overview
In early March 2011, representatives of the Mid and Upper Ewaso Water Resource User Associations (WRUA) and the Water Resource Management Authority (WRMA) embarked on a 2 day exposure tour following the Ewaso Nyiro from its sources upstream all the way downstream to Archers Post tracking the change in river flow. It was an all round experience for over 50 members from the 17 WRUA’s that LWF works with as they traversed the district tracking rivers while marvelling at the arid landscape, vast patches of bare ground and miles of seemingly uninhabited land.
