Overview
Rawlyk Preserve
Size: 51 acres
Preserve & Trail Information: The Wetlands Loop Trail takes visitors through woodlands, grasslands and wetlands. The preserve serves as a demonstration to other landowners of how they can restore native grassland and wetlands. The majority of the property is native warm season grassland planted in 2005. Prior to 2005, this area was in continuous row crop and sod production for well over 100 years. The remainder of the property is mature woodland and wooded wetland with vernal ponds along a headwater tributary of the Lockatong Creek, a New Jersey Category 1 Stream.
