Overview
Farmer's market Oslo takes place every weekend (mostly on Saturdays) from the middle of August up until Christmas, and every other weekend during springtime. The location rotates between (mainly) three places: Birkelunden, Valkyrie plass and Vika Terrassen. Sometimes they also arrange in Asker and at Bærums Verk, not far from Oslo. Some of the market days have particular themes, like "Organic". In addition to meat and fish products, pastry, spreads like jam and honey, produce, dairy products and hand made non-food products, there is also possible to buy warm meals prepared on the barbecue etc.

Impacts
I. S. Nov 2012 "In many cases it saves CO2 to buy locally produced food. In addition, there are many other good reasons to shop at a local farmer's market - and great atmosphere is one of them!"
