Overview
The GSP (Grenfell Park, St Thomas and Port Tennant Community Regeneration Partnership) has an office base at St Stephens Church Hall. The aim of the Grenfell Park, St Thomas and Port Tennant Community Regeneration Partnership (GSP) is to improve the quality of life for residents and to act as a focus for the community. Working independently or with other partners, GSP aims to provide educational, economic and cultural opportunities for local people.
The Second Chance project (a GSP project) is based at St Stephen’s Church Hall. It enables people to bring unwanted goods in exchange for money if they are sold. Goods can be taken there on Monday mornings (10.00 -1.00) and sales take place on Wednesday mornings (also 10.00 -1.00).
The GSP are always looking for new volunteers to help out and join their Board. The main activity is operating the Second Chance Project on a weekly basis, but they are also the main organisers of the Eastside Carnival, the Lantern Parade and Bi-Annual Awards event.
The GSP currently operates from St. Stephens Church Hall but hopes to move to the Jersey Park Pavilion in the near future after renovation has taken place.
Contact 07795 963881 or 423009 for more information.
At the Church, Sunday service is at 9.30am and Bible Study takes place on Wednesday evening. The hall is used during the week by the Second Chance project (Mon and Wed mornings), the Credit Union (Tues morning) and a toddler group on Thursday morning. The space can also be hired so please call 422185 for more
