This house at 452 W. Main St. was the site of the home of Lincoln's friend and cousin, William Hanks, Jr. When Icabod Baldwin built a house here in 1861, he used some of the walnut logs from that cabin. Abraham Lincoln often stopped by this location when he was in town. This is a private home; it is not open to the public.
