Overview
Steelend Mineral Railway.
The Lethans Colliery and Steelend branch of the West of Fife Mineral Railway was completed in 1874 and connected with its junction at Townhill. The cuttings and embankments that accommodated this line can still be seen snaking around Knockhill and running parallel with the Redcraigs to Dunfermline road.
