Bluff Nature Reserve

The reserve is 45ha in extent and provides an excellent opportunity for viewing water birds, including the common Purple Gallinule and rare Lesser Jacana. The main attractions are the large natural water body, wetland community, and patch of coastal lowland forest. The diverse plant life is also a major attraction.

Driving Directions: Take the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Freeway (Southern
Freeway) south from Durban towards Amanzimtoti. Take the Jacobs off-ramp and turn left into Quality Street. Travel along this street until the Tara Road intersection. The reserve entrance is diagonally across the road to the left (off Tara Road).
