Krantzkloof is a 584ha reserve situated at the confluence of the Molweni and Nqutu Rivers, which have cut deeply into the Natal Group Sandstone, forming a spectacular gorge system. The reserve is home to a number of rare plants, such as Natal Quince and the critically endangered Natal Brachystelma, and birds of prey, such as Crowned and Wahlberg's Eagles, as well as Lanner and Peregrine Falcons. The reserve's two picnic areas are particularly popular on weekends. There is also a viewpoint offering spectacular views across the nature reserve mid-way up Bridle Road.
