Rezumat
Pădurea Schulewald a fost amenajată ca zonă de agrement pentru locuitorii mun. Bistrița în anul 2014. Deși a suferit multiple transformări de la o pădure compactă de foioase (sterjar, carpen, cireș sălbatic și alte specii native), infrastructura realizată recent cu alei care străbat întreg corpul de pădure permite oamenilor să pătrundă mai des și în număr mai mare pe tot cuprinsul ei. În pădure pot sau puteau fi observate până la a interveni transformarea, specii variate de păsări (grangur, pițigoi mare, pițigoi cu capul albastru...), mamifere (căprioare, iepuri, mistreți, veverițe...), amfibieni (buhaiul de baltă cu burta galbenă, tritoni) sau reptile (șarpele de alun).
