Founded in the 1930s by Vito ("Bunky") and Ninfa Capadona, Bunky's was one of the first Italian restaurants in Madison. It was originally located on the corner of Park and Regent Streets in the city's Italian-American Greenbush neighborhood. (Bunky's was one of three restaurants that made up "Spaghetti Corner.") Through the late 1960s Bunky's was the place to go for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, and later one of the first Madison restaurants to serve pizza.

In the late 1970s the original Bunky's was torn down and replaced with Pino's Restaurant and Bunky's Nightclub. Bunky's became the hot spot to see live music. This business was open through the early 1980s.

The Bunky's legacy was resurrected in 2004 by Vito and Ninfa's great-granddaughter, Teresa Pullara, and her husband, Rachid Ouabel, who have combined the flavors of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine at their new location on Atwood Avenue.

We offer homemade ravioli, pasta, and kabobs, along with a selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free entrées and desserts. The décor of the restaurant is a remembrance of the original Bunky's, including many photos and artifacts from the vibrant Greenbush era.

Please join us for lunch or dinner, and sit back and enjoy our relaxed atmosphere, superb staff, and delicious food. We hope to see you soon!
