Overview
The Ocracoke Preservation Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the island's history and cultural heritage. The OPS museum is housed in a turn-of-the century historic home open to visitors daily between Easter and Thanksgiving. There is a small gift shop located within the museum and a changing historical exhibit. Visiting the museum is free, although donations are suggested.
