Burman Bush Nature Reserve
Overview
Burman Bush is a 55ha patch of remnant coastal forest, which is virtually unchanged since 1850. There are also excellent views northwards over the uMngeni River. Also of interest are the shell fragments, the remnants of an ancient beach, which indicate the historical sea level.

Driving Directions: Travel north along Masabalala Yengwa Avenue (NMR) from Durban towards Durban North. Turn left into Smiso Nkwanyana Road (Goble Road) at the traffic lights. Turn right into Lilian Ngoyi Road (Windermere Road) at the traffic lights and left into Goodwin Drive. Turn left again into Burman Drive, which takes you to the reserve entrance.
