Overview
The Beechwood Park entrance is located at the end of Richard Court. The entrance to the park is marked with a sign and kiosk constructed by the Boy Scouts. The kiosk contains information about the park, specifically the Beech trees. A marked trail meanders through the property and culminates at the Blanche brook where there is a log bench perfect for reflecting on the parks natural beauty. Along the trail there are several information plaques with photographs and information about the parks vegetation and animal life. The 32 acre property was established to preserve one of the largest stands of American Beech trees in New Jersey. The property is bordered by the Hackensack River on the west side of town. To the west and south the property abuts Hackensack Water Company. The park is a perfect place to take a peaceful walk and enjoy nature.
