![마을 공동 정원: 종종 공공장소 또는 이전에 버려진 땅에 가꾸어진 주민정원은 채소와 꽃을 기르고/재배하고 자연과 서로 가까운/친밀한 관계를 지닌 자원봉사자들에 의해 운영되어짐. 때때로, 개발에 의해 울타리쳐지고 잠겨지거나 위협을 받지만 동시에 일반적으로 모든 참가자들에게 공개되고, 지역사회 삶의 질을 향상시키고, 공기와 토양의 질을 개선시킴. 또한, 체험학습과 새와 곤충을 위한 서식지를 제공함.

Washington Park Association and Green Collar Futures partner with
Hudson County Park on first Permaculture Learning Garden pilot program in Spring of 2011.
Garden is open to community during park hours for sustainable, art and educational programing.
