Overview
Watkins Regional Park is composed of more than 850 acres of land that offers several amenities for people of all ages to engage with nature and participate in sustainable activities. On the park's grounds you can find a newly renovated 'Wizard of Oz' themed playground for kids, nature center, farm, miniature train station, carousel, bike/pedestrian trails, campgrounds and much more. Adults and children can take part in learning about nature, composting, and what steps should be taken in advancing toward a sustainable future. The park boasts a multitude of bike and pedestrian trails as well as recreational facilities for the enjoyment of the public. Finally, the environment complete with wildlife, farm animals, and outdoor/indoor facilities enables social relations to form and develop through play, education, and exercise.
