Overview
Little used railroad corridor, many acres of open space and wetlands, some of it degraded, amazing possibilities, including Hi-line-ish trestle that goes over Newark Avenue. Connects to Bergen Arches, future East Coast Greenway, Palisades, Harsimus Cemetery, and also to Embankment. Under risk of being bulldozed for redevelopment by Conrail and developers, preliminary plans have been in paper. Reports of deer, foxes, and lots of other flora and fauna.
Would make a tremendous park, bicycle and walking path.
