Mariannwood is a 12ha primarily botanical reserve with a mosaic of scarp and riverine forests, and grasslands.
Of interest are the grassland flowers in September/October.

Driving Directions: Take the N3 west from Durban to Pinetown. Take the Henry Pennington Road (Richmond Road) off-ramp and turn left.
Travel along Henry Pennington Road and turn left into 7 Avenue. Turn right into Adams Road, left into Mariannridge Road, and right again into James Herbert Road. The entrance to the reserve is at
8 James Herbert Road, next to the Heightor flats.
