Thokoza Park and Moroka Dam
Overview
Thokoza Park, incorporating Moroka Dam, has reclaimed its status as a prime attraction in Rockville in Soweto. The well-used park covers 4,5 hectares.
It proudly shows off Soweto's first fountain, set in well-manicured lawns, with paved footpaths and pretty, rock-strewn streams which gently meander to Moroka Dam.
A picturesque spot, the park has facilities for family picnics or braais. It hosts many events, including art exhibitions and lively jazz concerts. There is a children's playground, and lots of ducks to feed.
