Rezumat
Delheim has much to offer for wine, food or nature lovers, as well as the active outdoor enthusiasts with offerings from gourmet meals, jazz and cheese fondues and picnics, to mountain bike trails and full moon hikes, wild mushroom harvesting. Worth the journey, indeed!
Delheim founded the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy where several eco-tourism initiatives have been established amongst participating landowners around the Simonsberg mountain outside of the picturesque town of Stellenbosch. The Delheim community is supported by BEE, training, financial assistance, a vegetable garden and a crèche.
Delheim has always had a very strong commitment to the conservation and preservation of the environment they grow their wine in. recent projects include an organic waste-water recycling system. Through a series of bio-reactors and an indigenous wetland, Delheim are able to re-introduce the waste-water from their cellar and restaurant, back into the environment.

Delheim Waste-Water Recycling Project
Delheim has always had a very strong commitment to the conservation and preservation of the environment they grow their wine in. In this film, General Manager and Viticulturist Victor Sperling explains their latest project - an organic waste-water recycling system. Through a series of bio-reactors and an indigenous wetland, Delheim are able to re-introduce the waste-water from their cellar and restaurant, back into the environment from which they took it.
