Rezumat
The Upland Farm provides many experiences including day camp, festivals, hayrides, programs, birthday parties and more. The Upland Hills Farm was founded by Knight and Dorothy Webster in 1960. Knight was a farm boy from Wisconsin with a degree in agriculture and Dorothy was an educator. Their dream was to bring the joys and lessons of rural life to an ever increasing urban society.
That dream has taken many paths through the years. The Farm has grown from 1,000 people served in 1960 to over 100,000 people annually today. We've expanded services from the initial day camp and hayrides to the programs listed in the bars to the left.
The Farm has programing throughout the year, including a wonderful fall and Halloween experience with a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, magician, farm animals demonstration, pony rides, cider and donuts.
A mother writes:
"We really love going to this farm. I have been visiting there since I was a child and it is still run by the same family. When I used to go it was the grandfather that milked the cow, now its his grandson. It is a great tradition that we have to go every fall. Of course there are the normal farm activities like sheep sheering, milking the cows, children s pony rides, but my favorite thing to do is take there hay ride. It takes you on quite a long ride through the woods, which of course are beautiful in the fall, and then drops you off to take a small hike. Along the path they have a giant story book scene's set up every few feet. You can read the story along the way and your children can pose with the characters its really very well done.
