Emmaus Björkå menar att återanvändning sparar naturen och bygger sin verksamhet på människors vilja att skänka begagnade kläder och saker som sedan säljas i butikerna. En del av de skänkta kläderna skickas till samarbetsorganisationer i Syd eller säljs på export. Samarbetsländerna är Angola, Nicaragua, Palestina och Västsahara, dit även vinsten från second hand-butikerna går.
