Central Waters Brewing Company
Rezumat
Central Waters Brewing Company is a fairly new sustainable company founded in 1996 by two friends. They purchased a vacant building and modified old farm equipment to build a brewery. The brewery produced its first brews in 1998 from home recipes. Since, Central Waters has won many awards for its beer and wine brews and now services over 200 Central Wisconsin retailers. The brewery has recently installed 24 solar panel collectors which collect 2500 therms per year (an average family uses about 1000 therms per year). Although the old brew house is no longer in use, the new brew house brewing equipment is made from recycled materials. All the used grain from the brewing process is given to local farmers for feed or compost instead of being disposed of in a landfill.
