Overview
Growing various citrus fruits such as Valencia, Blood, and Navel oranges, and various limes, lemons and grapefruit, Vince and Vicki Bernard occupy about 50 acres of farmland to grow the various fruit trees. The Bernards attribute the quality of their fruit to the rich soil and climate as well as the seaweed and urea used for fertilizer. The farm has been around since 1979 and they have been serving various farmers markets since 1980, growing their trees in Riverside. While they have no organic certification, they control pests with beneficial insects and gophers, and use a drip irrigation method in order to decrease in water evaporation.
