Construction on Brauer Hall at Washington University was completed in 2011. It houses the Department of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, and is meant to help conduct important research and promote sustainability. This building utilizes many green technologies that makes it very sustainable. A portion of the building's energy is provided by solar panels and a wind turbine on the roof.
