Integrated Mental Health Day Service
Devon House, a service run by SAMH, provides two services:
1. Service for People with Severe and Enduring Difficulties. This service functions as a partial clubhouse and provides a work structured day for clients who experience severe and enduring mental health difficulties. A high level of user involvement is integral to service delivery and members contribute fully to the administrational, financial and operational running of the service. Devon House also offers social evenings and five a-side football.
The Wee County Project offers social based groups in Alloa and Tillicoultry for those with longer term issues.
2. Counselling Service for People with Mild to Moderate Difficulties. This counselling service includes two counsellors who provide a counselling service based in Carsebridge House, Alloa or in health centres within the Clackmannanshire area. An initial block of eight 55 minute sessions are offered - not all clients will require this, others can extend to a total of sixteen sessions. Our client group would typically be experiencing depression or anxiety due to adverse life events, life cycle transitions, sexuality issues or coping with illness.
